TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Venue policies
Covid restrictions are determined on a show-by-show basis according to artist request. All shows with covid restrictions will notify customers on the website as well as on the event listing and by email prior to show day.
Tickets
Tickets may be purchased online at TheSenateColumbia.com by selecting the event on our calendar.
Tickets can be purchased on site at the box office Monday - Friday 2pm - 6pm

Food & Beverage
The Senate has a full bar onsite with a variety of beer, wine, liquor & non-alcoholic options. The Tin Roof is located right next door and we serve their full food menu from our bar.
Seating
Unless otherwise noted on the ticket, we are a general admission, “standing room only” venue.
Depending on the nature of the event we may sell VIP tables or reserved seating. We also occasionally have limited seats available on a first come, first serve basis - including an open air patio located just outside the venue. If you are handicapped or require a seat due to a disability, please contact us in advance at [email protected] to make special arrangements.
Age restrictions
Each show varies, but any age restrictions will be clearly marked on our website as well as on the ticket itself.
'All Ages' means there are no age limits. Any show marked 16+, 18+, 21+ will require a valid ID for entry to show proof of age.
Anyone wishing to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages MUST be 21+ with a physical, valid ID in hand.
Bag policy
Our bag policy is as follows:
Clear bag that does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
One-gallon clear plastic bag
Small clutch bags with a max size of 4.5" x 6.5"
Medical Necessities
In addition, weapons of any kind will not be allowed in the venue
Cameras
ONLY small profile cameras with attached lenses are allowed at shows without a valid Photo Pass. Some events may have further restrictions on photography and/or cameras which will be clearly noted with the show & ticketing information.
NO USE OF FLASH AT ANY TIME INSIDE VENUE
No professional cameras allowed inside the venue without an approved photo pass. Professional cameras include any camera with a detachable lense, flash, or additional equipment. Any further restrictions per show will be noted on the website.
Parking
We are located at 1022 Senate Street in downtown Columbia near numerous parking garages as well as a large amount of street parking. We have a small parking lot on the corner of Senate and Park streets with limited spaces. The closest parking garage is located across the street at 1007 Park St. If full, there is another parking garage nearby at 851 Park St.

Venue Policies For Staff
Comp Tickets:
Any comp tickets requested by staff must be approved by venue management as well as the applicable show rep. All comp ticket holders and guest list are subject to security procedures and bag policy.
Soundcheck/Pre Show
All soundcheck and pre-doors activities (either out back or inside venue) are considered to be closed to all but necessary crew/staff. Absolutely no video or still photography is allowed at any time. This includes photo/video of merch display before doors.

No outside food or drink
No weapons of any kind
Including but not limited to: pepper spray, pocket knives, guns, nunchucks
No cameras without a tour/house pass
House Photogs: first 3 songs from pit, the rest can be shot from the crowd
Photographer bags must still be searched
Security must be in clearly marked, visible uniforms
We use metal detector wands at this venue
All guests MUST go through security and be wanded (including guest list)
Everytime a security guard is handed a wand, the supervisor must verify they are wanding correctly!
Make sure to check hats (guest must remove), ankles, and waistbands
No one goes backstage without a pass - unless escorted with a pass that tour manager confirms is allowed to escort
Not even regulars from Tin Roof
Guests are not allowed to crowdsurf, stage dive, stand on the bar, or ride on shoulders. This is the standard policy. Special permission may be granted upon certain show requests. To be handled per case.
Please stay at your position until someone comes to relieve you
All exterior doors not in use by show personnel or guests are to remain locked for security purposes
Bar Staff
No alcohol consumption while working
Any staff drinking or using substances on site will be sent home and asked to not return
In addition - staff must not show up to shifts inebriated
Bar should be thoroughly cleaned and trash should be taken out at the end of every shift (including removal of trash from barricade.) Thorough trash removal and sweeping will occur throughout the venue GA accessible areas to facilitate floor cleaning.
When venue is closed, liquor and juices should be stored in walk in
Greet every guest with a positive attitude - do not yell at them please
All guests not employed here must leave when the venue and their tabs are closed
All transactions/drinks should be recorded in POS system with an accompanying payment method
All comp tabs must be reviewed and approved by manager at the end of the shift
Security and management should be notified immediately of any incidents
Box Office
All guest list ads must be approved by venue management, applicable show rep or artist management PRIOR TO DOORS
No extra plus ones added without approval
All AA guests must be provided with the proper credentials from house or artist
IDs should be checked and matched to ticket order/guest list addition before tickets/passes are given out
All ticket sales should be recorded in ticketing software with an accompanying cash or credit transaction
Comp tickets handed to guest list must be labeled with the appropriate date and show name to be verified at entry to venue
Box Office transactions should include customer name and email address at minimum
No alcohol consumption while working
Equipment must be protected in the event of inclement weather
Security and management should be notified immediately of any incidents
