WINYAH & PENELOPE ROAD
Live at The Senate!
This event is all ages
There’s a raw, restless fire at the heart of Winyah’s music – in the crackle of their guitars, the growl of Thomas Rowland’s voice, and songs that always feel like they’re chasing something just out of reach. With southern swagger, indie rock bite, and an unforgettable live show, the South Carolina five-piece are quickly emerging as one of the most exciting new bands in the country, fueled by high ambitions and the desire to
build a real community – a space where people can feel something, escape, or just be. Having already played Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza and sold out their first headline tour, Winyah are pushing themselves harder than ever – with an upcoming sophomore album that promises more of that same friction, soul, and intentional songwriting that’s carried them this far. They’re dreamers intent on becoming a face of the new rock-and-roll revival, building something meant to be felt – together.
Penelope Road is an Atlanta soul-pop quintet comprised of Max Moore (lead vocals/guitar), Charles Eastman (lead vocals/keys), Koan Roy-Meighoo (vocals/guitar), James Kopp (bass), and Anthony Smith (drums). The band is on a mission to bring real, immersive performance back, having sold over 20,000 tickets in the first half of 2025 alone. From jamming in a grimy college house on Penelope Road to going viral with attic jam clips, the band’s grassroots following led to a Warner Records deal, a self-titled 2024 EP, and sold-out dates headlining and supporting Goose and Lake Street Dive. Their second EP, The Diamond Street Sessions, recorded at Diamond Street Studios with David Ryan Harris, showcased warm, groove-filled tracks like “Out Tonight” and “Flowers (Carry Me Home),” while their 2025 EP Chance Encounter features heart-on-sleeve lyrics and full-band energy. Penelope Road closed out 2025 with three sold-out hometown shows and a feature on Grammy.com’s Grammy Reimagined for their Eagles cover “Lyin’ Eyes,” and they’ll be taking that that momentum into 2026 with a North American headline tour, marking them as one of today’s most exciting bands to watch.
